MA in Writing Application Details

Applicants need to submit a standard Birmingham City University application form and a also send a short sample of writing; not more than ten pages of fiction or script. Based on this form and the sample, a number of students will be invited to attend the qualifying module. This will involve a week of intensive workshops and teaching, followed by two weeks of home study time, after which students will need to submit a portfolio of their work. This portfolio will then be assessed and successful applicants admitted to the rest of the course. For those students who proceed to the diploma course, this module will contribute 12 units to the overall degree.

We are now accepting applications for the next Qualifying Module, due to run July 2010.
