Publications by Centre Members

The Centre for Criminal Justice Policy and Research views its mission as being the production of critical but policy-relevant contributions to contemporary debates in key areas of interest in criminal justice policy and practice.

Recent work done by members of the Centre demonstrates a practical but critical interest in issues relating to: prisons and penal policy, policing - theory and practice, legal and practical opposition to capital punishment, and community safety and restorative justice, amongst others.

In the last year Centre members have published a variety of research reports and academic papers on a range of topics including: health care in prisons, the need for theory in policing, prisoner-student's views of distance learning, and the policing of anti-globalization protests.
